About FMAL and FYC:

Are you a first year looking to get involved in the Y? First Year Member At Large and First Year Council are two unique opportunities for first years to get involved with the Campus Y. They are both amazing opportunities to work with students from all years, to engage with social justice efforts on campus and to find your niche at Carolina.

FMALs serve on the Campus Y’s Executive Board and contribute to weekly Executive Board meetings and biweekly Cabinet meetings. Through doing this, FMALs learn about the history of the Y, its mission and the role it plays on UNC’s campus.

FYC a collaborative group of self-driven, passionate and hard-working first years designing and implementing their own projects in the Campus Y.
