Overview
In addition to the guidelines below, all UNC policies and procedures apply to our building.
Masks: All visitors are required to follow the University guidelines on facemasks. Extra masks will be available in the Main Office (Room 108) for those who need one.
Cleaning and sanitation: UNC Housekeeping staff will be cleaning regularly, with a focus on disinfecting high-touch surfaces four times daily including but not limited to door handles, lobby furniture, stair handrails, light switches, elevator buttons, restroom surfaces, and water fountains. Campus Y staff will sanitize offices, the 1st floor Conference Room and the 2nd floor classroom spaces in the mornings and evenings if they are not in use at that time. Those who reserve rooms are required to disinfect them before exiting.
Furniture: Furniture has been carefully placed to adhere to social distancing regulations. Please do not move any furniture in the building.
Entrances: The Y’s front door will serve as an entrance ONLY. Follow the flow of foot traffic guides to navigate the building and exit to the rear of the building on the basement level.
Building Hours
Weekdays
The Campus Y building will be unlocked Monday through Friday 7 AM-8 PM. The building will be open from 8 PM-11 PM with a valid OneCard.
Weekends
The Campus Y building is locked on weekends. The building will be open from 8 AM-8 PM with a valid OneCard.
Building Flow
Signs and markings throughout the Campus Y will indicate required spacing, traffic flow and occupancy limits. This includes the front stairwell designated for going upstairs, and the rear stairwell designated for going downstairs and exiting the building.
Room Specifications
Conference Room furniture has been placed in order to keep students and staff six feet apart and safe. Please do not move any of the furniture. Please adhere to physical distancing rules of six feet apart and do not wait in groups in any lobby. If the room you’ve reserved is occupied, please wait outside until the space is available.
The Conference room is available via reservation* only from 8 AM-8 PM, for no longer than 1.5 hours.
*With your reservation of the space you are required to use the provided disinfecting spray to disinfect tables, door handles, light switches, remotes and arm chairs before you leave the room.
Seminar Room furniture has been placed in order to keep students and staff six feet apart and safe. Please do not move any of the furniture. The Campus Y Co-Presidents and Exec team have arranged the Student Workroom to accommodate small Campus Y committee meetings*. It will be available by reservation only to Campus Y committees and will not serve as a hangout/study space this semester.

The Campus Y 3rd floor space is closed. It is being used for furniture storage and will be locked.
Staff
The Y’s 5 full-time staff members are staggering their schedules to exercise social distancing and ensure that there is at least one staff member present in a first floor office (Room 107-109) from 9 AM-4 PM on weekdays.
Each staff member has preferences about how to conduct meetings (virtually, masked, outside, etc.), so please email to schedule a meeting and carefully follow instructions before entering an office:

The Blue Ram Café
The Blue Ram will operate Monday-Friday from 7 AM-3 PM. Patrons will only be allowed “one way shopping” by entering through its front door and exiting through an indicated exit door.
