Rural Sustainability Summit

UNC’s first annual Rural Sustainability Summit will be an all-day conference on Friday, October 14 in the UNC Student Union, focused on the intersection of economic development and environmental sustainability in rural North Carolina. The summit will feature keynote addresses by Greg Gaskins, the deputy treasurer for North Carolina; Dr. Patricia Mitchell, the assistant secretary for rural economic development in the North Carolina Department of Commerce, and Dr. Garrie Moore, the executive director of the Conetoe Family Life Center.
