Pre-Summit Film Screening

On October 14th, SWEAT is hosting the first Rural Sustainability Summit! The event will focus on the intersection of economic development and environmental sustainability in rural North Carolina.
On October 13th, there will be a pre-summit film screening of the critically acclaimed documentary, Raising Bertie. The film follows a community-based education program in rural North Carolina as they face the struggles of development and work to empower members of their community.
The film screening will take place in the Union Great Hall at 7pm.
