Campus Y COVID-19 relief resource guide

August 21, 2020 • veda • No Comments

Dear Campus Y and Carolina Community,

Over the past few weeks, actions taken by the University have caused wholly preventable upheaval in our campus community. We understand that many people in our community are in great need, so we are centralizing efforts to provide housing, food, and other aid led by organizations at UNC and in the larger Chapel Hill/Carrboro community.

Mutual aid is one of our most powerful tools right now, as the University continues to lack transparency and care for its students. If you are experiencing financial hardship, we encourage you to check out these resources and request aid. If you have the means to donate, please do.

Additionally, we want to stress the importance of focusing on your mental health. For us, we know this week has been so chaotic and stressful. If anyone else is in a similar place, please take some time for yourself. Constantly consuming new information can cause us to sometimes forget about ourselves and our needs. We are linking below established resources for anyone who is having a hard time with their mental health.
