DTH Covers the Charlotte Protests
September 27, 2016 • Gabrielle Palacio • No CommentsCharlotte continues to see scores of protestors flooding its streets following the death of Keith Lamont Scott as a result of a fatal gunshot wound from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Officer Brentley Vinson last week.
Scott is the latest in a long line of police-shootings of black males.
The Daily Tar Heel asked Campus Y Co-President Lauren Eaves for a comment on the situation. “I’m angry and I am into the support as an ally to any students of color in whatever way that they would,” said Eaves.
